WHAT IS CAP & INVEST?
The Climate Commitment Act (CCA) was implemented January 2023 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fund a cap-and-invest program. This program requires businesses in Washington to pay for allowances to cover their carbon emissions on fuel and propane. This may be reflected as a line item on your invoices or appear as a sudden increase in product price.
